“One of the agreements reached in the meetings pertains to activating the corridor between Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, and Iran for which ECO meeting will be held in Tehran next year to make the cargo carrying possible in this corridor,” said Ebrahim Mohammadi.
With the activation of international transportation of north-south corridor and the measures taken in Iran and Azerbaijan, we will see the increase of cargo carrying in this corridor as well, he said.
There were fruitful negotiations between Iran and the Chinese delegations about their passing cargo trains to the Persian Gulf through Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, he also said, pointing out that continuation of the meetings and the coordination between central Asian countries, Caucasus, and Iran will lead to the increase of cargo carrying through the transporting corridors of north-south and east-west.
