"No one could believe the joint session would be held for another year and after the JCPOA conditions were prepared for Tehran and Moscow to cooperate with each other," said Zamaninia.
Referring to the presence of key and important figures of Iran and Russia in the meeting, Zamaninia said now, Russian Gazprom Deputy Managing Director Alexander Medvedev and Managing Director of National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) Hamid-Reza Araqi were present in the session for expansion of the two-way economic relations.
He went on to say that Iran-Russia cooperation in energy follows a favorable course after meeting by Iranian and Russian presidents.
He announced that Iran-Russia cooperation is very new and formerly the two sides were not witnessing such cooperation.
Over the past months, documents were signed by Iran and Russia in oil which if are finalized the number of fields entrusted to Russia will be higher than that for other countries, according to Zamaninia.
He added that National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and Russian Gazprom Neft Company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation, based on which study on Changuleh and Cheshme Khosh fields will be entrusted to the Russian side.
