During the meeting in Belarus capital on Tuesday, Oveisi and Myasnikovich explored avenues for bolstering and reinvigorating of mutual cooperation.
During the meeting, Oveisi said that the two countries' parliaments play a crucial role in broadening of bilateral ties in a balanced way.
Myasnikovich, for his part, said that grounds have been prepared for expanding all-out ties between Tehran and Minsk.
The Belarusian speaker stressed on widening parliamentary cooperation, and urged his Iranian counterpart to take a trip to Belarus.
In relevant remarks in early February, Head of Belarus Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Sergey Rakhmanov underlined that his country and Iran can further expand their relations, specially in trade and economic fields.
“There are plenty of grounds for the expansion of cooperation between Belarus and Iran,” Rakhmanov said in a meeting with Deputy Governor of East Azarbaijan for Economic Affairs Ali Navadad in the Northwestern city of Tabriz.
Rakhmanov expressed hope that by development of cooperation between Iran and Belarus, East Azarbaijan province could take a noticeable share of the cooperation.
He reiterated that Belarus is among advanced countries in the field of industry and agriculture, and said, “In the fields of manufacturing trucks, tractors and production of dairy as well as in the field of information technology Belarus is among most advanced countries in the world and even more progressive than a number of European countries."
Ali Navadad pointed to capacities of the province in the fields of manufacturing automobile, parts, pharmaceutics and food products, and said, “The province by having around 4,000 industrial units is one of country’s industrial poles.”
He said that the province is also active in production of leather, hand-woven carpet and handicrafts and in the sector of mine also has more than 8 billion tons of reserves.
