Once being an importer of diesel fuel, Iran has now become a major exporter of the product and will soon turn into an exporter of gasoil, too, Jahangiri said, addressing an official meeting in the Southeastern province of Kerman.
In relevant remarks in November, Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zanganeh announced that Iran was exporting 20 million liters of gasoil on the average.
"Without any big refinery coming into operation, Iran has turned into exporter rather than importer of a gasolil," Zanganeh told a group of Petroleum Ministry officials.
He said that except gasoline, Iran is now exporter of other oil products and God willing problem with gasoline will be solved soon.
Zanganeh added that Iran has joined the club of exporters of oil products.
