President Rouhani said visit to Armenia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan is on official invitation and in response to the visits of the presidents of the countries to Tehran.
He said the Islamic Republic of Iran is prepared to have more extensive presence in the countries, providing them with technical and engineering services. "For the time being, tens of Iranian companies are cooperating with the three countries."
He referred to membership of the three countries in the Eurasian Economic Forum and Iran's close relations with the three countries in the past years and said Iran seeks more extensive economic relations and free trade with the countries with preferential tariff.
Noting that Armenia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan are members of Iran's corridor to west, east and north, he said through Armenia, Iran will access to the Black Sea and Europe and through Kazakhstan to northern and eastern countries and through Kyrgyzstan to China, following linking of the railway to Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Iran.
"Location of the three countries on the path of the north corridor and China is of significance for the Islamic Republic of Iran."
He said a group of traders, entrepreneurs and merchants accompany him in the visit.
"Iran's economic follows the policies of the Article 44 of the Constitution and promotion of the private sector. The sector should be further activated in order for vibrancy of the country's economy," he added.
Seen off by the First Vice-President and international affairs advisor of the Supreme Leader, the president left Tehran for Yerevan on Wednesday at the head of a high-ranking political and economic delegation.
During a visit to three Asian countries of Armenia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, Rouhani will meet presidents of the countries and after talks with senior officials of the countries, documents will be signed for expansion of relations between Iran and the three countries.
