"Tehran-Moscow relations are beyond mutual cooperation and even anti-terror cooperation in Syria; the two countries have role-model cooperation in the international arena," Sanayee said.
Iran and Russia diplomacy in Syrian crisis follow reduction of tensions and conflicts, while interferences from outside the region have caused complicated situation in Syria, Libya and Iraq.
Sanayee's remarks came as President Rouhani is slated to travel to Moscow for a 2-day official visit on Monday at the invitation of President Putin.
Several key documents will be signed in the presence of the two presidents in Moscow on Tuesday.
In relevant remarks on Wednesday, Sanayee declared that the volume of trade exchanges between Tehran and Moscow has considerably increased.
Both countries managed to overcome stagnation of economic ties and volume of trade showed more than 80 percent growth in 2016 compared to the previous year, Sanayee said, addressing a group of Iranian, Russia, Afghan, Tajik, and Azeri citizens on the occasion of Nowruz.
He said relations between Iran and Russia have been unprecedented and historical in past four years, expressing the hope that President Rouhani’s imminent visit to Moscow would result in drastic jump in mutual cooperation.
