"A total of 15 US companies have been sanctions by Iran over their support for Israeli crimes and terrorism," the foreign ministry's statement said.
The announcement by the Iranian foreign ministry came two days after Washington imposed bans on 30 foreign companies or individuals for aiding the Islamic Republic.
The American companies are Beni Tal, United Technologies Produces, Raytheon, ITT Corporation, Re/Max Real Estate, Oshkosh Corporation, Magnum Research Incorporation, Kahr Arms, M7 Aerospace, Armament Corporation, Lewis Machine and Tool Company, Daniel Defense, Bushmaster Firearms International, O.F. Mossberg & Sons and H-S Precision Incorporation.
Earlier this week, the US Congress introduced a bill that would impose what they call tighter sanctions against Iran over its ballistic missile tests and other non-nuclear activities.
