"A sun of 30 new petrochemical projects will come on stream by the end of this year," Shahdaei said on Sunday, addressing the opening ceremony of four petrochemical projects.
She reiterated that Iran's petrochemical industry will turn into a front runner for attracting foreign investors.
In relevant remarks earlier in April, Shahdaei said Iran's total petrochemical production capacity will reach 72 million tons per year this calendar year which began on March 21.
"Iran will launch a number of key petrochemical projects during the current calendar year which will bring the country's total petrochemical output to 72 mt/y from currently 65my/y," she added.
Shahdaei said the realization of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) achievements will be manifest in this year, adding the petrochemical output of the country is expected to rise by 18% year-on-year in this year crossing 59 mt/y.
Marziyeh Shahdaei, who is also deputy petroleum minister in petrochemical affairs, estimated that a total of 23 million tons of petrochemical will be exported during the year as well, fetching the country some $11b in revenues.
She further said 10 million tons of products will also be sold on the domestic market during the year with an estimated values of IRR 190,000b.
