The Iranian President made the remarks at the outset of his one-day visit to Mazandaran province and upon arrival at the Dasht-e Naz Airport of Sari on Tuesday morning.
He voiced satisfaction that his visit to the northern Iranian province coincided with birth anniversary of Imam Ali (AS) and said the visit mainly aimed to inaugurate new projects and assess progress of ongoing ones.
Rouhani, while describing development of Amirabad Port as a major project, said “rail connection to the port remains a highly significant task since Caspian Sea movements are important for reinvigoration of relations with countries and expansion of maritime transport.”
Iran’s President underlined that Mazandaran enjoyed excellent capacities in sectors like foreign and local tourism, agriculture and various industries adding “the government seeks to facilitate communications between the northern and central parts of the country in order to save people’s time and reduce fuel consumption.
Hassan Rouhani will unveil 55 production and employment projects during his one-day visit to Mazandaran.
