"Iran and Russia will increase the value of their trade balance to $10 billion," President Rouhani said on Wednesday after returning from his visit to Russia.

In relevant remarks on Tuesday, President Rouhani and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in a meeting in Moscow issued a joint statement to broaden mutual cooperation in various fields.
The 16-page joint statement themed 'Moving forward to Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation' covers vast areas of cooperation.
President Rouhani, heading a high-ranking politico-economic delegation, arrived in Moscow on Monday for a two-day visit upon an invitation by his Russian counterpart to hold talks on bilateral ties and sign a total of 15 cooperation pacts.
Also on Tuesday, Iranian and Russian officials in a meeting in Moscow examined the ways for boosting trade transactions between the two countries.
Iranian Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh and a group of senior managers of the Russian private companies in their meeting in the Russian capital discussed facilitating the export of Iranian goods to Russia.
The Russian managers voiced their willingness to increase the volume of their imports of the Iranian goods.
Nematzadeh also met Russia's energy managers and the country’s bus factories.
During the meetings, the two sides examined ways to promote industrial and energy ties.
